Isagro agchem sales plunge 23% in Q1
Italian agrochemical company Isagro (Milan) posted a 23% fall in agrochemical sales to some €30 million ($39.2 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2013. That included a 20% drop in sales of proprietary pesticides to €28 million ($36.6 million), while those of third-party products halved to €2 million ($2.6 million). Total sales, including non-agrochemicals, were down by almost a quarter (-24%) to €32.3 million ($42.2 million). The company blames de-stocking for much of the fall. Sales rose strongly in last year’s first three months ( Agrow No 637, p 5).
