Nippon Kayaku’s sales boosted in 2009
Higher domestic sales and exports boosted Nippon Kayaku’s agrochemical sales to ¥7,983 million ($89.2 million at the current rate) in the year ended May 31st 2009. Annual sales were 14.2% ahead of the ¥6,992 million ($78.2 million) recorded in the previous year. Agricultural insecticides and soil fumigants accounted for the largest part of the company’s agrochemical sales. Performance was boosted by higher demand, while cost reduction measures improved profitability, it says.
