Bayer launches DuPont’s Coragen in Portugal
Bayer CropScience has launched the DuPont insecticide, Coragen (chlorantraniliprole 200 g/litre), in Portugal. Bayer’s Portuguese operation has a distribution agreement with DuPont for Coragen in the country. DuPont was granted approval by the Portuguese authorities for the product earlier this year. It is a suspension concentrate formulation for use on grapevines, potatoes and tomatoes for the control of lepidopteran and coleopteran pests. The EU recognised the completeness of the application dossier for the active ingredient three years ago, with Ireland as rapporteur member state ( Agrow No 523, p 6). DuPont has gained registrations for chlorantraniliprole (trade-marked as Rynaxaypyr) in over 30 countries.
