Monsanto gets GMO approvals in Brazil and Argentina
Monsanto has gained two approvals for genetically modified products in Brazil and Argentina. Brazil has ratified approval for the sale and use of the first Monsanto GM soybeans developed specifically for use in a market outside the US. Argentina has granted registration for its insect-resistant Genuity VT Triple PRO (MON89034xMON88017) maize. “These approvals are great news for our farmer customers in Brazil and Argentina,” executive vice-president of seeds and traits for Monsanto Brett Begemann says.
