China’s monosulfuron ester to be industrially developed
A project to develop the sulfonylurea herbicide, monosulfuron ester, is entering an industrial development stage, reports the Chinese newspaper, the Tianjin Daily. The programme is headed by China’s Nankai University national pesticide research engineering centre. The herbicide, for which Nankai University possesses independent intellectual property rights, has been used for seven years on wheat and other cereal crops in China. It is the only “green pesticide” for use on cereal crops that has been approved by the Chinese government, the report adds.
