Shenzen Noposion’s nine-month sales up 12%
Chinese company Shenzhen Noposion Agrochemicals recorded a 12.4% increase in agrochemical sales to Yuan 1,302.5 million ($196.4 million at the current rate) in the first nine months of 2010. Third-quarter sales rose 12.1% to Yuan 294.6 million ($44.4 million). Despite the increase in sales, net profit for the nine-month period fell 18.1% to Yuan 93.5 million ($14.1 million). Third-quarter profits dropped even further, down 52.9% to Yuan 8.1 million ($1.2 million). The company was recently ranked seventh in the Chinese Chemical Society’s list of the “top 100 Chinese pesticide companies” in 2010, up nine places from last year ( Agrow No 604, p 3).
