Vestaron’s first product under US review
The US EPA has begun evaluating the first biopesticide application from US pesticide development company Vestaron (Kalamazoo, Michigan). The unnamed product is for the control of chewing insects on vegetables, tree fruits, nuts, grapevines, turf and other non-crop areas, nurseries and for home use. The application has passed a technical screen, which triggers the start of a mandatory 16-month review process, the company points out. Vestaron is developing products based on spider venom toxins ( Agrow passim).
