China’s six-month agchem exports up 15%
China’s pesticide exports were up by 15% to $1,480.7 million in the first half of 2012, while export volumes also saw a similar increase, up 11% to 473,200 tonnes. Growth was driven by exports of retail-packaged pesticides, which were up across the board in the major categories. The trade data come from China’s customs administration. China’s 2011 agrochemical exports increased by 36.4% to $2,420 million compared with the previous year ( Agrow No 637, p 25).
