US Congress looks at pesticides and bees

It is “not appropriate” to conclude that there has been a general and significant decline in native US bees or to attribute global or North American declines in any particular species of bee to pesticides. That is the conclusion of a US Congressional Research Service (CRS) report on the role of pesticides in bee health. The CRS does not issue its reports to the public, but it was released by the non-profit Federation of American Scientists this month, reports Agrow’s sister publication, Pesticide & Chemical Policy.
