UK revokes Chemsource’s Chikita permit
The UK Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) has revoked UK company Chemsource’s (Reading, Berkshire) parallel permit for the use of the herbicide, Chikita (flazasulfuron). The Directorate took the action as certain conditions of the permit had not been met and the product was not considered to be identical to the UK reference product, Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha’s Chikara (flazasulfuron). The permit was issued in 2010 and has been withdrawn. The CRD has directed that any remaining stocks of Chikita are not to be used and should be returned to the company. It may be stored until April 30th pending return of stocks.
