Bayer opens US BioScience R&D facility
Bayer CropScience has officially opened its $20 million BioScience research facility at its US headquarters in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The three-storey, 60,000 sq ft (5,600 m 2) building will be used to conduct genetically modified and non-GM crop trait research and development ( Agrow No 611, p 8). It will be used for maize, soybeans and other arable crops. The facility includes 30,000 sq ft of greenhouse space and 2,400 sq ft of growth chambers.
