Syngenta names nematicide seed treatment

Syngenta has named its Pasteuria nishizawae-based bionematicide seed treatment as Clariva. The company received US approval for the product for the control of soybean cyst nematodes (Heterodera glycines) in April (Agrow No 661, p 25). A launch is planned for 2014 in combination with insecticides and fungicides as a “complete solution for soybeans”, Syngenta points out. Further registrations on major crops worldwide are planned. The company acquired the bionematicide technology from Pasteuria Bioscience last year (Agrow No 649, p 2).
