Arysta debuts Everest herbicide in Argentina
Arysta LifeScience has launched its herbicide, Everest 70 WDG (flucarbazone 70%), in Argentina. Everest is a water-dispersible granule formulation for the control of grasses and some broadleaf weeds in spring, durum and winter wheat. It provides residual activity for up to 21 days, and complements others in Arysta's wheat portfolio in Argentina, the company says. Arysta already sells Everest in parts of South America, as well as China, Europe, and North America. It acquired Everest from Bayer CropScience in 2002 (Agrow No 413, p 4). The company further notes anticipated growth of some 19% in the wider Argentine agrochemical market this year.
