US sugar tolerances for pyraclostrobin
The US EPA has established temporary tolerances for BASF’s fungicide, pyraclostrobin, and its desmethoxy metabolite in sugar cane in Florida and Louisiana. The tolerances are associated with an emergency exemption for the control of rusts ( Puccinia spp). The tolerances are due to expire on December 31st 2011. The EPA approved pyraclostrobin for use on over 100 crops in 2002 ( Agrow No 410, p 21).
