Zhejiang Xin'an storms ahead in 2008
Chinese company Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical’s agrochemical sales more than doubled in 2008 to Yuan 5,120.8 million ($749.7 million at the current rate). Agrochemicals made up 70.9% of sales. The company’s total sales, which included silicone products, were up 88.6% over the previous year. Earnings per share for the period were Yuan 5.89 ($0.86), more than three times the previous year’s figure. Exports, which made up 71.4% of total revenues, more than tripled in value terms, whereas domestic sales were down 5.4%.
