Bayer acquires AgroGreen assets
Bayer CropScience has acquired certain assets and technology of the Israeli biopesticide company, AgroGreen (Ashdod). AgroGreen is one of the leading companies in the bionematicides business, Bayer says. The acquisition will provide the company with biocontrol products aimed at turfgrass professionals, and “growth opportunities” in the seed treatment market. Among the acquired assets are products based on the bacterium, Bacillus firmus. They are sold as BioNem for use against soil-borne nematodes. No financial terms have been disclosed.
