Argentine achem industry defends glyphosate safety
The Argentine pesticide industry has defended the safety status of the herbicide, glyphosate. The move follows widespread national press reports of a government study claiming that the pesticide causes malformations in human organs. The Ministry of Science and Technology’s national scientific counsel, the Conicet, published findings this month, saying “[glyphosate] may produce neuro-, intestinal-, or cardiac malformations”.
