DuPont launches Coragen in Argentina
DuPont has launched its chlorantraniliprole-based insecticide, Coragen, in Argentina. It is for use on pome and stone fruits against codling moths ( Cydia pomonella) and on peach trees against oriental fruit moths ( Grapholita molesta). Coragen is a 20% suspension concentrate, which is recommended for use at 20-25ml/hlon trees. The company gained registration of the active ingredient in May, and launched it in September. The approval was the first for the pesticide in South America. Chlorantraniliprole was registered in the US and Canada earlier this year ( Agrow No 543, p 22).
