Bayer plans new pyrasulfotole combo in US

Bayer CropScience plans to introduce a broad-spectrum cereal herbicide in the US this year based on its new active ingredient, pyrasulfotole. Wolverine (pyrasulfotole + bromoxynil + fenoxaprop-P-ethyl + mefenpyr-diethyl safener) is recommended for the post-emergence control of some 63 broadleaf weeds and grasses in wheat and barley. Bayer received US approval for pyrasulfotole in 2007 ( Agrow No 526, p 22) and launched the ai, in combination with bromoxynil, as Huskie last year.
