Greek agchem sector pledges price restraint
The Greek pesticide industry has pledged to keep pesticide price rises close to general inflation levels, the Hellenic Crop Protection Association (HCPA) says. The Association held a meeting last month with the Deputy Minister of Rural Development, George Vlachos. It told the Minister that it would encourage its members to keep prices “with a few exceptions” reasonably near inflation levels. “There will be cases of flat and falling prices for products, it adds. The HCPA says that Mr Vlachos accepts that the pesticide industry also faces cost and price demands in the “current difficult conditions”.
