Ownership change for Sariaf Gowan
The US agrochemical company, Gowan (Yuma, Arizona), has secured additional resources to support its Italian joint venture, Sariaf Gowan. Gowan’s Portuguese investment partner, Margarita Internacional Comercio e Servicos (Madeira), has acquired 70% of Sipcam-Oxon’s 50% stake in the business. Gowan’s Portuguese subsidiary, Gowan Comercio Internacional e Servicos (GCIS), owns 50% of Sariaf Gowan, with Margarita now owning 35% and Sipcam 15%. Sariaf Gowan was formed on January 1st 2006 when Gowan acquired a 50% stake in Sariaf ( Agrow No 496, p 2).
