Brazilian industry demands ai ban list

The Brazilian agrochemical industry is demanding that details on the possible banning of 13 pesticide active ingredients be made public. The call follows the message from the Ministry of Health’s national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, that up to 13 ais would be banned from June this year ( Agrow No 563, p 19). The industry has not been informed which ais are among those threatened with a ban. It is only aware that they would include eight ais already banned in the EU, according to an industry source.
