Australia seeks views on cost recovery
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is carrying out a public consultation on possible changes to its cost recovery framework. It is seeking views on introducing indexation to ensure the set percentage of cost recovery until the next review. The APVMA recovered 96% of its costs from industry fees and levies in the year ended June 30th 2007 ( Agrow No 532, p 16). The Authority is also interested in views on how its cost recovery framework should cater for changing expectations and technologies. The closing date for submissions is May 30th.
