Syngenta denies herbicide shortage in Australia

Syngenta has rejected rumours that supplies of its pre-emergence cereal herbicide, Boxer Gold (prosulfocarb + S-metolachlor), are in short supply in Australia. The company says that it can meet demand, which is expected to double this year, after the product’s introduction in 2008. Boxer Gold is recommended for the control of annual ryegrass ( Lolium multiflorum) and toadrush ( Juncus bufonius) in wheat and barley ( Agrow No 534, p 19).
