UK warns against trifluralin sales

The UK Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD) has warned sellers to desist from selling herbicide products containing the active ingredient, trifluralin. All products containing the ai were revoked following a European Commission notification in September 2007 ( Agrow No 530, p 9). That makes it illegal for anyone to sell products containing trifluralin after September 20th 2008. Even though users can apply products bought before this date until March 20th 2009, they cannot do so with a product bought after September 20th. The PSD issued the warning after instances of sale of products containing the ai were brought to its attention.
