BASF's new product sales mount
Sales of nine BASF pesticides launched between 2002 and 2007 reached 65% of their combined peak annual sales potential of €1,100 million ($1,706 million at current rate) in 2007. They include the fungicide, pyraclostrobin, and the insecticide, chlorfenapyr, which were registered in a major market in 2002 and therefore classified as “launched”. The other seven active ingredients are described as “in launch”, with first major approvals being granted in the past five years. They are: the fungicides, boscalid, dimoxystrobin, metrafenone and orysastrobin; the herbicides, tritosulfuron and topramezone; and the insecticide, metaflumizone.
