More resubmissions for EU approval
More companies have resubmitted applications to gain EU re-registration for active ingredients. Dow AgroSciences and Kanesho Soil Treatment have issued a joint application for the nematicide, 1,3-dichloropropene (1,3-D), with Spain as rapporteur member state. Cheminova has re-applied for the insecticide/acaricide, malathion, with the UK as rapporteur. New EU procedures came into force this year for ais that have been unsuccessful so far in gaining a listing on Annex I of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414). A total of ten ais have been resubmitted under the new system to date.
