Chinese nicosulfuron approvals mount

Chinese registrations for the sulfonylurea herbicide, nicosulfuron, are on the rise in 2009 as manufacturing costs fall, reports the Chinese government-sponsored chemical industry newswire, Cheminfo. In the first quarter of 2009 alone, three companies registered nicosulfuron technical, 12 registered single-ingredient nicosulfuron formulations, and 29 registered mixed formulations that include the ai. DuPont’s Chinese patent for nicosulfuron expired in early 2007.
