Italian approval for Bayer fungicide
Italy has registered Bayer CropScience’s systemic fungicide, fluopicolide, for the control of oomycete diseases on grapevines and horticultural crops. It will be marketed as Volare or R6 Albis. Fluopicolide received its first approvals in the UK and China in late 2005 for use on potatoes against late blight ( Phytophthora infestans - Agrow No 485, p 21). It has since been registered in several European countries including Poland, Germany, and the Netherlands ( Agrow No 513, p 18).
