Greece OKs DuPont's Steward 30 WG
Greece has granted approval for DuPont’s insecticide, Steward 30 WG (indoxacarb). The water-dispersible granule formulation is approved for use on lettuces, tomatoes and peppers for the control of Spodoptera spp and Helicoverpa spp, on brassicas against cabbage armyworms ( Mamestra brassicae), and on pome fruit for the control of codling moths ( Cydia pomonella). Indoxacarb entered Annex I of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414) in 2006 ( Agrow No 489, p 6), eight years after it gained its first provisional approval in Spain ( Agrow No 377, p 23). Spain also led an EU workshare on the active ingredient in 2007, based on the proposed zonal product registration system ( Agrow No 520, p 10).
