MOI unveils disease inhibitor
The US biopesticide company, Marrone Organic Innovations (MOI – Davis, California), has unveiled a disease resistance activator for the control of fungal and bacterial diseases on fruit, vegetables and ornamentals. The US registered product, Regalia SC, is based on an extract of giant knotweed ( Reynoutria sachalinensis). Among the diseases controlled by the product are powdery mildews, rusts and grey mould ( Botrytis cinerea). “This unique mode of action provides the same level of control expected from conventional fungicides,” MOI says.
