Canada confirms chlorantraniliprole approval

The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency has confirmed the conditional approval of three chlorantraniliprole-based insecticides. DuPont’s Altacor 35 WG is registered for use on pome and stone fruit, and grapevines, Coragen 200 SC is approved for potatoes, brassicas, and fruiting and leafy vegetables, while DPX-E2Y45 20 SC is for turf. Altacor has recommended application rates of 145-285 g/ha, Coragen can be used at 250-375 ml/ha, and DPX-E2Y45 at 145-1,125 ml/ha. DuPont received US and Canadian approvals for chlorantraniliprole this month ( Agrow No 543, p 22).
