India simplifies agchem registration procedure for export houses
The Indian Central Insecticides Board’s Registration Committee has made certain simplifications to the registration of agrochemicals “to encourage the export of pesticides from India”. The simplifications aim to recognise established exporters as “Star Export Houses” and introduce a “fast-track registration system based on self certification”. Applicants will no longer have to submit an affidavit from a judicial magistrate. The accreditation fee for applicants has been reduced from Rs 25,000 ($625) to Rs 1,000 ($25).
