Chinese industry to get new regulations
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is to publish new controls and policies governing the Chinese pesticide industry in September this year, reports the Chinese national newspaper, the AgriGoods Herald. The policies will encourage amalgamation and restructuring among manufacturers, discourage the duplication of similar projects, and increase the management of production and sales. The regulations aim to increase innovation and help Chinese companies develop proprietary products that are competitive in the world market. The Ministry has conducted an investigation into the pesticide industry in 20 provinces across China. Its policy division notes that in the areas of production capacity and volume produced, export volumes and domestic usage, the Chinese pesticide industry is, on average, number one across the globe.
