French concerns over Cruiser
The introduction of Syngenta's seed treatment insecticide, Cruiser (thiamethoxam), for use on maize, has sparked protest from bee farmers in France. Syngenta received approval for the product's sale across the country for the 2008 sowing season. It is for the control of wireworms (Agriotes spp) and frit flies (Oscinella frit) on maize.
