BASF expands seed treatments
BASF expects to nearly triple the number of seed treatments that it markets in the US by 2009. The company plans to have a seed treatment range of 11 products next year, BASF's US seed treatment marketing manager, Craig Lindholm, says. The company currently has four seed treatments, including the fungicide, Stamina (pyraclostrobin), which received US approval in February for maize and other crops (Agrow No 538, p 22). BASF also markets two triticonazole-based fungicidal seed treatments under the Charter brand and the insecticide, Regent TS (fipronil).
