First US review dockets open
The US EPA has issued preliminary work plans for the first three pesticides to enter the Agency's new registration review programme. The EPA has opened public dockets for the herbicides, lactofen and clomazone, and the acaricide, hexythiazox. They are the first active ingredients to enter the 15-year review scheme, which succeeds the re-registration and tolerance reassessment programmes (Agrow No 506, p 14). The EPA has removed the herbicide, sulfosate, from the review schedule as it has no active registrations. This was due to be one of the first 15 conventional pesticide ais to enter the scheme in fiscal 2007.
