Brazil to recoup 2006 losses
Brazilian agrochemical sales for 2007 will recover all of last year's losses, a distributors' association says. The prediction comes from the national agricultural and veterinarian raw material distributors association, the Andav, following its market study. "All of the market information we are receiving points to a recovery, compensating for all the losses suffered in 2006," the Andav told Agrow. The association says that its data have mainly come from the soybean, maize, coffee, citrus fruit and sugar sectors. Those crops accounted for over two-thirds of sales in 2005 (Agrow No 501, p 19). The Andav claims that volume sales recovered in 2006.
