More upset in EU review
Dow AgroSciences is "very disappointed" about an EU decision in March not to re-register the herbicide, trifluralin. The decision was voted through by the EU Standing Committee on the Food Chain and Animal Health, which also opted for an 18-month maximum sell-out period for the active ingredient. Trifluralin was in the second round of the EU review of existing ais. The European Commission has yet to issue details on the exact reason for the decision or the specific phase-out dates, Dow points out.
