Israel overturns aerial spraying ban

The Israeli government is to overturn a ban on aerial pesticide spraying near the country's borders with the Palestine authority-controlled Gaza Strip, the national daily, The Jerusalem Post, reports. The head of the Transport Ministry's security department, Deni Shenar, announced the move following the response from farmers in the Negev and Gaza Belt area. They said that the prohibition would result in crops such as potatoes and wheat no longer being grown in the area.
