Mexico OK for Bayer's Vigold
Bayer CropScience has gained approval in Mexico for its strobilurin fungicide, Vigold 480 SC (fluoxastrobin 480 g/litre) for use on potatoes and tomatoes. The registration is the first for the active ingredient in Latin America and Bayer's only approval in the Americas. Vigold is for control of black scurf (Rhizoctonia solani) on potatoes and early blight (Alternaria solani) on tomatoes and potatoes. The fungicide is also recommended against a group of post-harvest potato tuber diseases, including Colletotrichum spp and Helminthosporium spp.
