Brazil agrochemical prices down
Brazil's agrochemical prices fell by 12.7% on average in the 12 months to May 2007, according to the Brazilian agrochemical industry trade union, the Sindag. Its study of 110 products found that prices had dropped for 96. The survey found that 30 out of 36 fungicides fell in price, while 32 of 38 surveyed herbicides saw price cuts. Only one of the 29 insecticides/acaricides rose in price. The prices of six of the other seven pesticides in the study were also down. The data were compiled with the help of the Agricultural economy institute, the IEA.
