EU flusilazole limits lifted
The European Court of First Instance (CFI) has suspended the restrictions imposed on the fungicide, flusilazole, as part of its listing in Annex I of the EU agrochemical registration Directive (91/414). DuPont applied for an annulment of the European Commission's decision last year to re-register flusilazole for just 18 months on certain crops (Agrow No 510, p 7). The CFI responded favourably to the company's argument that no valid reasons were provided to justify such restrictions, DuPont says. The Court's interim order means that the Annex I listing of the ai is restored to the normal ten-year period with no crop restrictions until a final ruling on the case.
