Monsanto lawsuit win on hold
The Parana State Court in Brazil has suspended its ruling that had called for the temporary registration for post-emergence use for Monsanto's herbicide, Roundup Ready (glyphosate), on genetically modified soybeans. The company won a lawsuit at the Court in June, requiring the Parana regional government to grant Monsanto temporary registration of the product. However, the state's environmental institute, the IAP, has subsequently presented evidence that led to the Court putting its earlier ruling on hold, Monsanto says. The company must submit evidence for the judge to make a final ruling.
