Lower water levels on UK labels?
The UK Pesticides Safety Directorate (PSD) supports changes to pesticide labels to reflect use in reduced water volumes. The move follows concerns over whether, and to what extent, the recommended volumes of water on labels can be cut. "It is common commercial practice that end users, for practical and economic reasons, apply product in a volume of water less than [that] specified on the current label (thus applying the product at an increased concentration)," the PSD says. The Rural Payments Agency "raised significant anxieties for the industry resulting from this trend, the PSD adds.
