Australia mulls use extension for Bayer's Movento
The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) is considering an application to extend the registration of Bayer CropScience’s insecticide, Movento 240 SC (spirotetramat 240 g/litre), to onions, mangoes and citrus crops. It was approved for use on brassicas in Australia this year ( Agrow No 568, p 24). Movento is also registered in Austria, Canada, Tunisia, Turkey and the US. The APVMA is seeking comment on the trade implications of the approval extension by September 7th.
