BASF debuts Standak Top in Brazil
BASF has launched the insecticidal and fungicidal seed treatment, Standak Top (pyraclostrobin + thiophanate-methyl + fipronil), in Brazil for use on soybeans. Standak Top “allows fast and efficient action” against soybean pests, such as Elasmopalpus lignosellus, Aracanthus spp, and Diabrotica speciosa, as well as fungicidal action, the company says. It forms part of the AgCelence range of products, which BASF launched in Brazil in 2007 ( Agrow No 523, p 19). The AgCelence brand is marketed as providing benefits beyond crop protection, such as tolerance to stress.
