Brazil suspends sale of 12 Bayer agchems
The Brazilian toxicology authorities have halted the production and sale of 12 Bayer CropScience pesticide products. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, ordered the suspension of production of 1 million litres of “adulterated” formulations at the company’s Belford Roxo plant, it says. The pesticides contain nine active ingredients among them. The ban on their sale and production is valid for 90 days.
