Brazil suspends Syngenta agchems
The Brazilian toxicology authorities have halted the production and sale of almost 1,000 tonnes of some Syngenta agrochemicals. The national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, took the action early this month. It says the pesticides were “adulterated” with “irregularities in their import, production and sale”. The affected active ingredients and products include the plant growth regulator, flumetralin, the fungicide, Score (difenoconazole), the fungicide/insecticide, Verdadero 600 (thiamethoxam + cyproconazole), and the acaricide, Acarmate (cyhexatin).
