South American OKs for mandipropamid
Three South American countries have launched Syngenta’s fungicide, Revus (mandipropamid), for marketing in the past year. It is approved in Brazil, Chile and Colombia for use on potatoes and tomatoes against late blight ( Phytophthora infestans), on onions against downy mildew ( Peronospora destructor) and for the control of downy mildew ( Pseudoperonospora cubensis) on cucurbits. It has also been granted registration for use on roses in Brazil and Colombia. Two further products based on the active ingredient, Acuthon and Carial, were approved in Brazil last month.
